We are asking a few of our key volunteers and friends to rally their friends, family, and networks to support the Evanston emergency overnight shelter. By becoming a fundraiser for Interfaith Action of Evanston's Walk for Warmth, you will help ensure that there is a safe and warm space for our homeless neighbors to sleep this winter.
Starting a fundraiser is easy to do, and it's fun. We'll even give you all the tools you'll need to make a difference. Start your Walk for Warmth team.
And be sure to register to walk (after you set up your team). You can lead your team walking on January 20th to raise awareness of homelessness in Evanston. The 2-mile family-friendly walk starts and ends at First United Methodist Church, 516 Church St., and is scheduled from 11 am - 1:30 pm. We will walk to six of the locations that generously provide space for the shelter in 3-week rotations throughout the winter. One of the locations we visit will be set up to shelter guests on that evening. Bundle up!
