Help us make sure no one sleeps outside in Evanston's cold weather this winter.

On January 20, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a day of National Service, Sherman United Methodist Church is joining other faith communities in the Interfaith Action of Evanston's "Walk for Warmth" to raise awareness of homeless people facing a brutal winter.

Donate Online: Make your online donation by clicking the Donate button on this page.

Donate by Mail: Put Walk for Warmth in the memo line of your check and mail to: Interfaith Action of Evanston, P.O. Box 1414, Evanston, IL 60204.

And I hope you will also walk with us on January 20th to help raise awareness of homelessness in Evanston.

Register for the Walk: Donate first, then click the back button on your browser twice to return to this page and register to walk.

The 2-mile family-friendly Walk for Warmth starts and ends at First United Methodist Church, 516 Church St., and is scheduled from 11 am - 1:30 pm. We will walk to six of the locations that generously provide space for the shelter in 3-week rotations throughout the winter. One of the locations we visit will be set up to shelter guests on that evening. Hope to see you on January 20th! Bundle up.

Thanks.
