Join the 7th Annual Interfaith Action Walk for Warmth!
Be part of the family-friendly Walk for Warmth on Monday, January 19, 2026 in honor of Martin Luther King Jr.'s Day of Service. Help Interfaith Action raise awareness of homelessness in our community and raise funds to support Interfaith Action programs including the Overnight Shelter. You may donate and register on this page. Advance registration is required.
We will gather at 11 AM for a brief program in the Sanctuary at First United Methodist Church at 516 Church St. Doors open at 10:30 AM. The Walk starts after the program.
Cold weather plan. Due to the current weather forecast of single digit temperatures and high winds, for the health and safety of our Walk for Warmth supporters, we will walk as one group around the block as we did last year. Though we can't safely walk the 2-mile route in this weather, your participation, along with over 350 of your neighbors, is still very important in raising awareness of the need for shelter for our unhoused neighbors, particularly in life-threatening winter weather. Those who do not wish to walk, may remain in the church, in good company, after the program. The event concludes no later than 1 PM.
We are grateful for the faith communities that host the Overnight Shelter and for the support of a caring community. Thanks.
